Delete your account

Leaders and secretaries of subscribing congregations sign in to Minster with an account; members who book interviews do not have accounts. This page covers both.

If you have an account: sign in and delete it

Sign in, open Settings → Account, and choose Delete my account. Deletion happens immediately after a typed confirmation. The same control is available inside the Minster mobile app.

If you are your congregation’s only admin, you’ll be asked to make another leader an admin first so your congregation isn’t locked out.

What deletion removes

  • Your sign-in is deleted immediately — every device is signed out and the account can never be used again.
  • Your name, email address, and phone number are removed from your leader record immediately. Past appointments your congregation keeps show “Former leader” instead of your name.
  • Your private interview notes, the text of your AI assistant conversations, and the text of any feature requests you sent are deleted immediately — ahead of their ordinary 90-day windows.
  • Any of your upcoming interviews are cancelled, and each member is invited to rebook.

What is retained, and for how long

Your congregation’s scheduling records belong to the congregation and follow the retention windows in our Privacy Policy (§9): completed and missed appointments are retained for 1 year and then anonymized; cancelled appointments are deleted after 90 days; the security audit log is kept for 2 years and never contains member personal details. When a congregation’s subscription ends, its member appointment details are permanently anonymized 30 days later.

If you can’t sign in — or you booked an interview as a member

Use this form (or email privacy@minster.church directly). We verify every request before acting on it, so no one can delete your data by pretending to be you. Members can also remove their own identifying details from a booking at any time using the manage link in their confirmation message.

Full details of your rights — access, correction, export, deletion, and appeals — are in our Privacy Policy.
